My Story
Hi there! My name is Stacie and my family and I live in the small town of High River, Alberta. We are a short drive from a few of the most spectacular natural playgrounds that the Rocky Mountains and prairies have to offer. I spend a lot of time in nature, and over the years my dogs have been a huge part of that lifestyle.
I was clearly born with whatever gene it is that makes someone an "animal person". I started volunteering at vet clinics at the age of 9, where my appreciation and interest in animal care really started developing. I've always found that my love for animals fuels my soul and brings out the guardian and innate nurturer in me. I have plenty of experience working with dogs, cats, parrots, and small animals such as guinea pigs, bunnies, and even hedgehogs and chinchillas. I was also fortunate enough to gain experience on the medical side of animal care in my earlier years, working as a vet assistant in surgery at a clinic in Edmonton.
I adopted my first Doodle puppy in 2021. My old fella, Murph (German Shepherd X Mastiff - who you will see in many of my pictures), was starting to slow down and I felt it was time to bring another puppy into the family so that he could show her the ropes and also in hopes that the new puppy would reinvigorate him. SUCCESS! Murph was an amazing big brother and he taught Noah all he knew about how to behave, respect boundaries, and work mom over for extra treats. Murph passed away in early 2022 but I truly believe the last 9 months of his life were as fulfilling as they were because of Noah's companionship.
And in the process, I absolutely fell in love with the Labradoodle breed. Noah is the most chill and intelligent puppy I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. Sorry Murph! She is an old soul, who is happiest when she is wherever I am. She loves to hike, stand-up paddle board, kayak, go on road-trips and little hotel getaways. She loves to make new friends, play with kids and other dogs, practice her agility skills, camp, you name it! She even likes to join me in running random errands like grocery shopping, especially if there's a chance we're going through the Tim Horton's drive thru because she knows that means a timbit for her!
Noah's personality has definitely been a driving factor in why I made the decision to follow one of my lifelong dreams to start a breeding program. I knew in my heart that this dog had been brought into my life as a gift. Her kind soul, disposition, and incredible health and genetics are meant to live on and be shared with others.
